  3. Amadeus is a powerful tool that allows you to process, generate and
  4. analyze sounds.

  6. Amadeus provides most standard features of commercial programs like frequency
  7. filtering, echoing, transposing, and so on, but also more original tools like
  8. sophisticated sound synthesizers, interpolation of damaged sounds, generation
  9. of precise sonograms, …
  10.  
  11. This program is not a freeware. If you decide to keep it and want to
  12. be able to save your files, send me 25$ in order to get your own personalized
  13. version. Thank you very much!

  15. This version works on any Macintosh with System 7.1 or later, including MacOS 8
  16. and 8.1. It is a fat binary, so it will work more efficiently on a PowerMacintosh,
  17. even though it works also on older machines.

  42. Here is a short history of the improvings made to the different versions:

  44. Amadeus 1.34
  45. Correction of different bugs (mostly bad memory allocation). If you use an
  46. older version, please update it.
  47.  
  48. Amadeus 1.35
  49. Sonograms are now resizeable. Moreover, if you change the color palette,
  50. the effects are immediatly active, there's no need to recalculate the
  51. sonogram.

  53. Amadeus 1.4
  54. Cracks can now be found and erased automatically by the function
  55. interpolation->automatic… If you type command-space, the currently
  56. playing sound is stopped and a little part is selected at the current position.
  57. It is possible then to "jump" to this selection by typing command-J.

  59. Amadeus 1.41
  60. A few major bugs of the 68k version have been corrected.

  63. The noise reduction function is now parametrizable.

  66. A few cosmetic details have been set. Bugs concerning the handling of
  67. sound resources and AIFF files are fixed.
